100th Evening Ride - Dalmeny Estate

Verity led a record 12 riders on a fine sunny evening. We set off on the classic route to leamington brisge, down the Bumps, onto the path system , past the Brintsfield golf course wich is nowhere near brintsfield but is in fact in Barnton, then onto Crammond Bridge. That was the end of the standard route..
Next we joined into the dalemnt estate, cycled as far North as we could, to get near the coast, and then took the path to near Hopeton house. Some gradients, and rough parts but just about manageable on a road bike. There we tood the well tarmacced road (if that's a verb) and climnbed up towards the exit at B924 near Dalmeny. Some steep climbs, and some Highland cattle for company.
Then back on the newish path that returns to Crammond Brig, diverting onto Whiteghouse Road, down School Brae (a welcome chhange from the more ususal 'up'), and along the esplanade, leaving near the gasometer to run through Forthquarter park, and a mild climb up Granton Access to the red bridge.
The familiar terun path took us to zigzags, up the bumps and a very welcome isotonic refreshment at the Fountain.
Another fine sunny evening ride in the bag!
